Know Your City: With a refreshing look, India Coffee House, Bengaluru, adds a twist in its menu - The Indian Express

Image
The Coffee Board junction on Ambedkar Veedhi road in Bengaluru might just be a traffic landmark for commuters, but the board that houses the India Coffee House (ICH) is an emotional and historical landmark for many. Leave alone the emotions, any passerby cannot ignore the aromatic essence of the coffee brewing in the India Coffee House (ICH) nor can forget the waiters donned in the characteristic Indian attire and the signature turban serving piping hot coffee. The India Coffee House has come up with a new look this January giving a much-needed facelift to the old structure. The Coffee Board of India, which runs the ICH has a lot in store for coffee lovers. Taking forward the legacy and promoting the coffee ecosystem is the Bengaluru- headquartered Coffee Board of India. During the 1940s, the coffee industry in India was struggling due to World War II. Very low prices and ravages of pests and diseases had dealt a heavy blow to the sector. At this time, the Government of India establ

Chainsaw Man cafe opens in Japan with bloody delicious themed menu - AsiaOne

Japan is home to many anime cafés, and the latest to serve up a storm are Denji and his friends. Hot on the heels of the first season ending of Mappa’s Chainsaw Man — a pop-up restaurant themed after the highly-popular series will be opening in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya — featuring a concept that transforms the core characters from devil hunters to pattisiers. That doesn’t mean the vivaciously violent nature of the show is taking a backseat, however. Staying true to its roots, the special menu items sport a more visceral appearance than other themed eateries, with the Devil Mont Blanc (1,300 yen) (S$13.40) presenting a giant eyeball in all its oozing glory, and the Aftermath of Chainsaw Man’s Battle Chocolate Cake (1,500 yen) replicating the flayed remains of enemies with brownie bits, berry sauce, and cranberry chunks. With the Pochita Purin Parfait (900 yen), horror takes on a different form. The mascot is as disarmingly adorable and innocent-looking as its anime counterpart, b

What's the Most Expensive Fast-Food Chain? We Have an Answer - CNET

Image
Eating fast food doesn't typically bode well for that healthy New Year's resolution . If you're looking for an excuse to pull through that drive-through window a little less often, consider that fast-food menu prices jumped significantly in 2022 -- about 13%, according to Pricelisto , a website that tracks menu prices for US fast-food chains. That's even more than the cost of groceries, which bounced roughly 12% in 2022.  Fast-food joints typically lure us in with cheap eats , but with these price hikes, you might be better off signing up for a healthy prepared meal delivery service or trying meal kits  on for size -- and, as it turns out, they  aren't much more expensive than buying the groceries yourself .  While one uberpopular fast-food chain did manage to lower prices in 2022, most companies raised the cost of burgers, chicken , fries and soda. One restaurant franchise led the charge with outsized inflation and assumes its position as the new most expensive

Viral off-menu Waffle House sandwich that started as 'pregnancy craving' receives resistance from workers - Fox Business

Check out what's clicking on FoxBusiness.com A pregnancy craving that led to the creation of a customer-made, off-menu sandwich at Waffle House has become a viral sensation.  Social media users have requested the dish enough times that it has seemingly frustrated select servers and cooks at the breakfast chain. Shantell, a gym instructor in the U.S., posted a video of her "pregnancy craving" to her @shantellxoxo TikTok account on Tuesday Jan. 10, which she has dubbed the "Texas Toast Bacon Cheesesteak." I tried Royal Caribbean's new main dining room menus, and here's what I thought - Royal Caribbean Blog

Image
Last week, I had the opportunity to try Royal Caribbean's new Main Dining Room menus.  In late 2022, the company began testing new menus, and after receiving positive feedback from guests, they announced that they were going to permanently change the menus on all ships within the fleet by February 2023.  According to Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean International’s President and CEO, guests often complained about the length of their dinner meal, so one of the primary reasons for the change was the swiftness of service.  One noticeable change is the creation of a more cohesive theme each night that highlights different cuisines and cooking styles. With that, the “classics” section, which offered a subset of menu options that never changed and were available each night, was removed.  I went onboard the Symphony of the Seas, one of the first ships in the fleet to receive the new menus , to see how the new menus compared to my previous dining experiences onboard Royal Caribbean sh

India, the land of spices, is indeed one of the most favourable ecospheres for the restaurant industry because of the way diverse flavours are accepted and appreciated. But the pandemic proved to be a major setback for the dine-in segment after which the industry experienced a digital hunger that demanded the automation of restaurant management, labour management, menu management, and customer retention solutions among several others. Although several players in the market have helped ease and scale operational efficiencies for restaurants through smart, innovative SaaS products and POS systems, sadly, 6 out of 10 restaurants still shut down within the very first year of their incorporation because of major gaps in ROI and profitability. This is when founders Sukrat Ray and Neha Khandelwal discovered the need to disrupt the restaurant SaaS industry to help restaurants enhance their dine-in services and boost profitability through a seamless engagement, marketing, and payment ecosyste
