한국수력원자력과 경주향교는 지난 6일 경주향교 명륜당에서 경주시 후원, 성균관여성유도회 주관으로 ‘2020 신라전래․경주전통음식 경연대회’를 개최했다고 8일 밝혔다.
경주 향토의 잠재된 문화자산인 전통․토속음식을 발굴하여 홍보하기 위해 개최된 이번 대회에는 지역 특산물을 활용한 43개 작품이 출품되었으며 한상차림, 요리․장류, 다과․후식류의 3개 분야로 나누어 경쟁했다.
이인숙 위덕대 조리학과 교수, 권순미 종가집 종부 등으로 이루어진 심사위원의 심사결과 이향남씨의 ‘시골밥상’이 대상(경북도지사상)을 수상했으며, 금상에는 이순덕씨의 ‘시금장’(한수원사장상), 박월자 스님의 ‘사찰음식 5첩반상’(경주시장상), 허임숙씨의 ‘단풍차와 약차’(경주시의장상)가 선정되었다. 이 밖에도 은상, 동상, 장려상, 참가상 등이 시상되었다.
대회를 주최한 정재훈 한수원 사장은 “경주 전통․토속음식 발굴 노력이 문화․관광 콘텐츠 강화와 지역경제 활성화로 이어지기를 바란다”며, “지역 문화자산을 활용한 민간의 자발적 자립혁신 노력에 적극 관심을 갖겠다”고 말했다.
